Lodging issues.
I know there have been some concerns with waiting for lodging in Fremont. I contacted the lodging department, there currently is not an over flow in place. However if you are told your wait is going to be 20 minutes or more you should call the lodging department so they can find another hotel for you. Their number is 402-591-3055.

New Crew Mobile App.
Brothers and Sisters,
See attached information on members electing to receive calls for work on their mobile phones via a new mobile app. Tomorrow they will roll out the applications for usage. This is all voluntary on the members part. Roll out to start on April 29, 2019.
PTC, Trip Optimizer/Leader event reporting
To better understand and evaluate the use of certain technologies being implemented by the Carrier, the Organization is seeking information regarding their operation. In order for the Organization to formulate a plan to protect our members, the general public, and ensure the safety of the nation’s infrastructure, we are asking members to provide information when incidents or events occur regarding these technologies.
The “Railroad Technology Event Report” form will be available in the crew room and should be submitted in the SMART-TD cutslip box. An electronic copy of the form has also been posted in the Information section of the website.
Flood Operations
The General Committee has signed a 30-day temporary operations agreement that will be in effect the month of April. The agreement text can be found in the “Agreements” section.
Additionally, the FRA has granted several regulatory waivers to the UP as part of an FRA Emergency Docket. This decision can be found in the “Information” section. Be advised that these waivers are not a “blank check” to violate existing regulations — there must be extenuating circumstances. Membership is encouraged to document any instructions that violate safety regulations and forward to the Legislative Representative, Jo Jones.
Special Meeting
There will be a special information meeting tomorrow at 9am, March 22nd at Saints Ave Cafe in Boone.
Pre-approved PL/LV day issues
It has come to our attention that the EAMS Pre-arranged PL/LV day system has been “double-booking” days for the same day — see the attached screenshot for an example. We are working with the carrier on a remedy to those this may have affected and hopefully a solution so that it does not occur in the future. In the meantime, you should check your pre-arranged history and ensure that you have not been affected.
