Aetna SSB Benefits.
Good afternoon. I was just sent the following information. Aetna is working on an FAQ I will share as soon as it becomes available. Thank you.
If pulled/ quarantined by a provider or public health official a copy of the quarantine instructions will be acceptable as proof.
Based on the CARES Act if a person is quarantined for Covid-19 by their employer an affidavit advising they were pulled from service (either the employer or the employee can complete the form).
Under the CARES Act the initial waiting period is being waived therefore the RRB will be paying claims the on 5th day (since rest days are not payable). This does not change for SSB, the 4 day waiting period still applies.
Since we are supplementary to the RRB, SSB will pay claims once we receive confirmation of payment from RRB.
Going to AWRR
In order to go to the AWRR Board you must exhaust your seniority at that terminal. You can’t go to the AWRR Board with a Junior person working in that terminal. Not being Footboard qualified DOES NOT exhaust your seniority. If you can hold a Footboard spot you must bump to that job before going to the AWRR Board.
If you need training please Call management and request a pilot or put on a training board.

Message from 329 Officers
Dear,
Local 329 Membership
As we face unprecedented times with regards to the COVID -19 Pandemic we find ourselves in a time where we must take steps to ensure the safety our membership. With this is mind there will be no Local 329 Meeting in April. We will also be postponing the officers meeting scheduled for April.
Providing information to the membership will be more challenging than ever. We plan to utilize our web site, smartlocal329.com. We will be sending messages through the mass text system as we update the web site. We urge everyone to take the time to read the correspondence, as we will be unable to hold regular meetings. Questions can be directed to the officers. Keep in mind, that processes are changing almost hourly, and what we know at any point in time may have changed an hour later.
We strongly urge all of members to keep the officers updated with changes you hear about. Now more than ever we need to work together for the safety and well being of members, our families and our co workers.
Thank you,
Officers of the SMART TD Local 329

Message From General Committee
Brothers – Just got off a conference call with Management. At your locations if they do not have supplies, including wipes and spray bottles CALL THE SAFETY HOT LINE. That is how they will bring supplies for your crew rooms and locomotives.
As of today all members on AWTS will only be called for yard assignments. The carrier is trying to cut down the amount of employees on the locomotive. As of now the AWTS spots will stay the same with no reduction. Of coarse this is the UPRR and subject to change.
